"Absolutely
the best insect repellent I've ever used"

Dr
James Metcalfe, MD – Somerset, UK
I discovered Bushman
quite by accident when I found myself in Oz without
any repellent. I bought a couple of tubes of the stuff
with sunscreen being a pale faced Pom. I am now finding
myself ordering this stuff from the other side of the
world for all my trips to fly biting countries, it works
especially well for our own native midges and black
flies.
I have lost count
of the number of people I have recommended this stuff
too; simply there is not another product on the market
which I have found to be this effective, easy to apply,
lasts as long as Bushman.

Dianna
Scott – New South Wales
I have been using
Bushman Aerosol (20%) on my daughters hair as a head
lice repellent – and it works! As a parent with
a child in primary school I was constantly treating
for head lice and spending a fortune in the process.
Nothing seemed to work.
In 2005 we went away on an extended camping trip and
my daughter had head lice before we went away. I treated
her with a product from the chemist before leaving,
but it didn’t work completely. A week into the
holiday I realised that she still had head lice and
we were nowhere near a chemist to get anything to treat
it. We were using Bushman as an insect spray anyway,
so every day I did a light spray on her hair as well.
After a week there was no sign of any head lice.
2 years later and I still lightly spray her hair on
school days as a deterrent and she hasn't had head lice
while using Bushman despite being in contact with other
children who did. She does complain though that it makes
her hair stiff if I apply too much.
I really recommend this and
it is so easy. I passed this tip to my friends for them
to spray hair, school hats & headbands too. I only
use a light spray – less than what we used on
our skin when we were camping.

Porter Ph.D - US Government Entomologist
"I recently
discovered your remarkable insect repellent while on
a field trip in Australia. As a professional entomologist
I pay particular attention to insect repellents and
I was most impressed by this one. Bushman has several
unique and valuable qualities: not only is it highly
effective on a wide range of insects and other arthropods
but it is also extremely sweat resistant which means
I only have to apply once a day. In addition it is comfortable
to wear ie: it's not greasy, has almost no odour, causes
no skin irritation and contains a built in Sunscreen.
In my line of work I spend long periods outdoors in
woody and grassy areas and am constantly concerned with
mosquitoes, ticks and other potential disease vectors.
So my professional interest stems from an ongoing need
for a repellent which provides complete protection for
extended periods, doesn't rub or sweat off easily, is
mild on my skin and has built in sun protection.
In closing I can
say that after extensive field use I am satisfied Bushman
would be of great value to anyone who has to work outdoors
in areas where insects are a problem."

Dr.
Nancy McIntyre - University Field Biologist
A friend and colleague
of mine, Pat Porter introduced me to Bushman several
months ago, and I wanted to write and let you know that
I'm really happy to have found such an effective repellant.
Most of the repellants that can be bought here in the
U.S. are pretty wimpy in terms of DEET
concentration. I am a field biologist and am conducting
research in the marshes of coastal Texas. The area has
more mosquitoes than any other place I've been in the
world. Indeed, the nearby town of Clute, Texas, has
an annual "if you can't beat them, join them"
type of party called the Mosquito Festival! Normally
the mosquitoes pose quite a nuisance, but this year
West Nile virus was detected in the area, and two members
of my field crew contracted a mosquito-borne encephalitis-type
illness. This has made mosquito repellance a serious
issue.
On a couple of
our most recent field trips, members of the crew brought
along several brands of mosquito repellant, and I brought
along some Bushman. I conducted an informal test of
its efficacy against the other brands and found Bushman
to be the clear winner. With the other brands, I had
to keep reapplying them (hourly!) because they would
sweat off or simply lose potency. The higher concentration
of DEET in Bushman gave me much longer periods when
I could work without distraction.
I am very happy
to have found a product as effective as Bushman
and would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone who
spends time outdoors.

When travelling through Central America I used every
repellent I could find and none of them proved to be
very effective. Then an Australian friend lent me his
Bushman Plus Gel, which had a substantially higher concentration
of DEET than anything else I had been able to get hold
of before, and it made a huge difference.
As one of the
most delectable specimens of human to the mosquito I
can, first hand, recommend the effectiveness of this
product. This is by far and away the most efficient
and effective insect repellent of all the extensive
range I have tried and would highly recommended it to
anyone heading into malaria regions as an essential
part of their precautionary measures. I have just purchased
more tubes to take with me to Bolivia, Peru, Ecuador
and Chile.

Jim
McKay - Wildlife Reflections
"For the
past few weeks we have covered quite a distance during
the filming of a new series for wildlife episodes for
British television and the National Geographic channel
(satellite and cable TV).
The crew put your
product to the test in Eungella National Park and other
rainforest environments, including the Cape York wilderness
areas during the wet season where we were continually
exposed to the swarms of mosquitoes, midges, leeches
and other biting insects. During this period your product
proved to be most successful in protecting us from those
insects and I was particularly pleased to note that
only one application in the morning was quite sufficient
to protect us during the whole day - even during rainy
periods. It's comforting to know that we now have a
reliable product that actually does what it claims to
do. Thank you."

Ian
Macrae - "Fish Tackle & Boat" Magazine
"Having been
an infantry soldier for 15 years, operating in the tropical
north with its multitude of biting insects, I can assure
readers they will find BushMan repellent hard to beat.
Most soldiers
I know, and many fisherman for that matter, used RID
and for many years this made sense as it was the best
on the market, but RID pales into insignificance when
put up against the Aussie BushMan repellent. During
my last trip north, I applied BushMan repellent as soon
as we arrived at the boat ramp at Morrissey's Creek,
south of Townsville. For the next six hours I was rained
on, sweated my butt off and walked around the shallows
chasing bait-fish with a cast net. It wasn't until we
were ready to call it a day that I realised I hadn't
reapplied the repellent and it was still keeping the
'bities' at bay.
Bushman costs
a little more than its counterparts, but when you consider
its long lasting effect and outstanding performance
it's worth it. From this rap-up you may think I am on
the BushMan pay roll, but I assure you I'm not - BushMan
repellent really is that good."

Warren
Steproe - "Modern Fishing" Magazine
"Another
new product recently brought to my attention, which
shows every indication of standing out in the crowd
is the new insect repellent "BushMan".
Since returning
from the Cape I've been working the Jumpinpin area hard
over the big flathead season and as anyone who's ever
been there will attest the 'Pin' is the home of a horde
of biting insects.
Bushman offers
a number of advantages over competitors in that not
only does it contain a higher concentration of the acknowledged
standard in repellents (Diethyltoluamide or DEET) but
the DEET is held in a base which is less offensive than
other established repellents. It is also very water
resistant. I've found BushMan to remain effective after
prolonged wading sessions chasing flathead on the flats
and despite seasonably heavy perspiration from a hot
spring day.
One application
seems to last all day, and as far as effectiveness is
concerned, I'm sitting here writing this after a day's
flathead fishing yesterday without a single itchy lump
from sandfly bites - and that is notable."

Wayne
Kampe - "Queensland Fishing Monthly" Magazine
"This stuff (Bushman) is so good that it has to
be experienced to be believed. It doesn't stink, or
sting sensitive skin, is highly concentrated so that
just a tiny dab will spread over a very large area and
best of all it dead set works. Put it on and there won't
be any more mossie or sandfly bites.
I first tested
it on the sandies at Hat Head (a nasty bunch, those
lads!) and then capped off the findings at the 'Pin'.
Testing is believing, it's just that darned good."

Allan
Miles - Operation Pilgrimage
OPERATION PILGRIMAGE wants to go on
record as a full supporter of the BUSHMAN range of insect
repellents.
The Australian
climate seems to encourage every type of bug, mite,
fly, mossie, ant etc that likes to bite or annoy us
humans. In the opinion of the 23 Operation Pilgrimage
team members your company's claims as to the effectiveness
of BUSHMAN repellent are 100% correct.
From first hand experience we
endorse BUSHMAN repellent for use in:
:: The Swamps
:: The mangrove mudflats & tidal
areas of our coastal rivers.
:: The sandy beaches along our Great
Barrier Reef
:: Our tropical rainforests
It makes us feel pretty good to
write this testimonial. Almost as good as the protection
BUSHMAN gave us from the little nasties."

"I normally
do not write letters to manufacturers of products other
than by way of complaint. I have however been a user
of Bushman Insect Repellent for over two years. I have
found the product so good that I feel that I must write
to your organisation and express my satisfaction.
I have used Bushman
in the Italian alps, the English countryside and the
Tuscan countryside. It far exceeded any product I was
able to buy locally. In fact I resorted to Bushman when
the local products were not satisfactory.
I first used Bushman
in a 10 day walk over the Kokoda Trail some two years
ago. I took Bushman on the recommendation of a friend.
At the end of the day as we camped by streams or swamps
I watched my fellow walkers apply "buckets"
of RID repellent and other similar products. All I did
was lightly apply Bushman. Those using so called competitive
products and literally bathing in it were still getting
eaten alive whilst I had not one single bite from a
leech or a mosquito in a 10 day arduous trip.
Well done and
many thanks for a great product. I am planning to walk
in Africa early next year and I want you to know that
Bushman will be one of the first things that go into
the pack."

Carole
McGuffog - Poem
We do a lot of
travelling and therefore regularly have problems with
bugs of all kinds. In particular mosquitoes hone in
on me wherever I am and I inevitably have to cut the
happy hours sitting outside short and shut myself in
the van as many tried and tested methods failed me.
Recently I discovered Bushman and it has made travelling
life a lot easier. Yes it works, I can now sit out into
the night enjoying meals and drinks with other fellow
travellers. Hence the inspiration for the poem below
- thought you might like to read it. Many thanks
Bushman
for Bugs
We sure do love
our travelling, seeing new and unusual places
Camping at night wherever in Australia's wide open spaces
Contentment starts to sweep over us until we feel the
first bites
Of the ferocious swarms of insects - mosquitoes, midges,
mites!
In the past we've tried the Aerogard, the rid and Citronellas
I'm sure they only thrive on these - the pesky little
fellows
But now we have the Bushman we can sit out into the
night
For it is the best repellent for warding of insect bites
And being sensitive to perfumes I find I can tolerate
its neutral smell
Not only a long lasting repellent for bugs it's a non
greasy sunscreen as well
So if the bugs are driving you crazy and you have to
stay indoors
Bushman is the answer that you are looking for

Dempster - Outdoorsman
Having attained
the “ripe old age” of eighty years I thought
that perhaps my “use by” common old O4 blood
would now be quite unpalatable to sandflies. Alas! such
is not the case.
On a recent trip
to our “humpy” on an island in the Great
Sandy straights behind Frazer Island, we immediately
came under attack again.
A mangrove canopy,
and hot weather, mean “midges” and we had
quick recourse to the Bushman as soon as we reached
the boat ramp. For quick control the personal spray
repellent is ideal, but during the long hours of fishing
in mangrove creeks where there is a very high insect
population, the 80% Deet Bushman Plus gave my old mate
Will and me hours of complete protection.
Our local
insect vermin do not like “Bushman” at all
and being fair complexioned and subject to skin cancer,
the sunscreen additive is much appreciated.
Pete
Leonard - Invercargill, New Zealand
Bushman is at
least as good as any other repellent I have ever used,
but it has all the add ons like pleasant smell, water
resistant, sun screen, small amount required ect, so
in the big picture with all these added in it leaves
all the rest for dead.
Thank you for
a great product. I use it in New Zealand’s deep
south including Stewart Island & most of the Fordland
National Park which takes in the famous Milford Track
and the huge fiord land sandfly.
Once again
thank you for a fantastic product that fills you with
confidence to venture into the wild.
